Women in tech space
Women in tech is a space that many women feels it isn’t for them. Tech means just programming according to them. As a person when not working in IT sector, glorifies what the other person in IT does. This could be for not understanding and not reading more about what an IT sector does.
It isn’t just them, I too was of the same belief and found out that working in technology has different versions/divisions.

There are different aspects to a software product, of course the heart of any application is the programming but what, why , when , how to make an application is not a programmers job.
This involves, compliance manager, a strategy planner, product owner, project manager, Scrum master, Quality assurance , Development. May be I have missed many more things in-between. It is a mis-conception from the movies that if a person works in a technology company, then he/she is a programmer. This could be due to most Hollywood movies shows mostly the hacking scenes that are as part of the programming.
I say, the present world is not just for a man to showcase their skills in technology. Women can equally take up any of the above roles and play an important role in building a software application leading to a software firm.
I have heard women say, Tech is not my cup of tea, I think it’s just the fear that it involves coding and judging their capabilities. Even today we do not see many women in Tech, reasons could be many, I say it is because many people say I can not juggle family and work together as sometimes working in tech requires to be there for longer hours.. In Norway, it does not matter where you work, it is just the 9–5 is the working and juggling family life is super balanced compared to an other European or Asian or American countries.
In the present day we have many tools in the market that helps our job in any field, so either making a small effort in learning them or taking up a course that interests you apart from programming, shall make many women work in Tech space. Of course, This leads to many
Also, the research says Women are more reliable than man, Skills can be learnt or taught but reliability and trust worthiness are bound to a women naturally by birth.Do you disagree with this? I would say, more women coming into the tech space can reverse the old fashioned way of working hierarchy. Women are naturally good with Budgeting, organising, finding faults as we always do when we find our men.
I personally feel slowly, things are changing, but even if a women, who never earned a computers degree can now start to be part of tech companies with all the materials that is available to us over the internet. Also, Google has collaborated with institutions like Coursera which has many courses that could be done online. Many such online institutions are available in todays world that could be used. We are in a digital era so, little efforts shall push a women to tech fields if she wants to be in.
